How Send2Figma handles information when you use the extension, MCP bridge, and this website.
Last updated: July 12, 2026
1. Overview
Send2Figma is designed to run locally in your browser and on your machine. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible. This Policy explains what happens when you use the Chrome extension, optional MCP tools, and the send2figma.com site.
2. Information we process
On your device (extension)
- Page content you choose to capture — processed in the active tab to build layers, screenshots, or design-system exports. This stays in your session / clipboard / downloads unless you paste or save it elsewhere.
- Settings — preferences such as capture quality, preview toggle, and default preset may be stored in Chrome local storage on your device.
- MCP bridge — if enabled, local tooling may read inspection data from the active tab to answer agent requests. That traffic is intended to stay on your machine.
This website
- Standard server or host logs (e.g. IP address, user agent, pages requested) may be collected by our hosting provider when you visit the site.
- We do not run a newsletter signup on this site at this time.
3. What we do not do (by default)
- We do not require an account to use the core extension features described on the homepage.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not intentionally upload your captured page content to Send2Figma servers as part of a normal capture → paste flow.
If future cloud features are added, we will update this Policy before they process personal data remotely.
4. Third parties
Captures you paste into Figma, files you download, or data you send through Cursor / MCP clients are subject to those products’ privacy practices. Sites you visit remain under their own policies.
Source hosting and issue tracking may use GitHub. Interacting with the repository is governed by GitHub’s policies.
5. Cookies & analytics
The marketing site is static HTML. We do not currently load third-party advertising cookies. Hosting platforms may set strictly necessary cookies or logs for security and delivery.
6. Data retention
Local extension settings remain until you clear site/extension data or uninstall. Host logs follow the retention of the hosting provider. You control captures once they leave the extension (clipboard, Figma files, downloads).
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
8. Changes
We may update this Policy by posting a new version here with a revised “Last updated” date.
